The traditional Springe-Deister Marathon near Hanover is a flat race that runs on a circular course at the foot of the Kleiner Deister. The route is completed four times for the marathon and the marathon relay, twice for the half marathon, and once for the 10km run. All distances are measured and approved by the DLV, allowing the results to be included in the rankings. The course profile has an elevation difference of about 35m, making it an appealing challenge for runners.
